Seth Morgen Long has quickly become a notable figure in Oregon’s wine industry, beloved by collectors and wine critics stateside and soon to be globally. Coming from a background in the restaurant business, he gained valuable experience by working with top winemakers in New Zealand, California, Oregon, and Burgundy’s Domaine de Montille. It was in 2014, that he decided to he returned to Oregon beginning with working on one vineyard, he now works with twelve top vineyards. With his sole focus on crafting the best Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley, his wines achieve a level of precision and rigor that showcases the best of Oregon. Handpicked fruits are carefully pressed, with the process tailored to each vineyard’s unique traits. Fermentation uses native yeasts and takes place in a mix of French oak barrels and stainless steel, allowing for complexity and depth. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for a year in barrels before being transferred to stainless steel for further blending. Fining and filtration may be used before bottling, which occurs after 17-20 months. We are honored to represent the wines, and believe that they will be some of the most long lived and visceral wines coming from the New World. A perfect harmony of expression and restraint.
