CHATEAU DE BONNEZEAUX
Pierre Boisseaux and Léa Meslet are crafting some of the best Chenin Blancs at Château de Bonnezeaux in Bonnezeaux, Anjou, Loire Valley, France. With roots dating back to the early 19th century, this historic estate laid dormant for over 30 years until its passionate revival in 2012. Once abandoned, the vineyards have been painstakingly restored with a steadfast commitment to organic and biodynamic farming. These are wines that speak of heritage, resilience, and devotion. Using traditional vertical Champagne presses and practicing extended barrel aging, the wines reveal a remarkable depth of minerality and refined complexity.
The wines are made with minimal intervention to express the purity and character of each unique terroir. Most wines come from single-vineyard parcels, with the exception of Inter-Val, a thoughtful blend of two top sites. Limited in production and highly coveted, the wines are some of the Loire’s most coveted hidden gems.
