Daniele Piccinin was born in the hamlet of Muni in the Alpone Valley, northeast of Verona. In 2010 he produced his first wine in his own cellar in Muni. Today Daniele owns 7 hectares in Sant Giovanni Ilarione, in the province of Verona, between 300 and 500 meters above sea level. They have a south/southeast exposure and are planted on calcareous soils. Due to the slope of the vineyards, most of the work is done by hand. It is a family business and now produces 15,000 bottles. Daniele has taken it upon himself to promote the local Durella grape - on the verge of extinction and known locally as Rabbiosa (which means "angry" due to its fierce acidity) - which is a rare autochthonous grape with only about 300 hectares planted.

The vineyards are surrounded by woods, exposed to the wind, with good slopes. Every organism in the vineyard is left to grow and live spontaneously. The only treatments in the vineyards are copper and sulphur, no pesticides, herbicides or any other systemic approach. Daniele's ultimate goal is to respect nature and allow it to be in harmony with itself. Piccinin consistently transfers this natural approach to the cellar. No filtration or clarification, only slow spontaneous fermentations with a handful of sulphites before bottling.
